What is GORE-TEX®?GORE-TEX® is a thin membrane made of PTFE (polytetrafl uorideethylene) and contains over a billion pores per cm2. Every pore is 20 000 times smaller than a waterdrop but 700 times larger than a water molecule. This means that steam but not water can pass unobstructed through the membrane. According to being waterproof and breathing ability we consider GORE-TEX® the best available. |
